Override was first introduced to electronic music in 96 when he was exposed to some great pioneer artists like the Orb, Orbital, LTJ bukem and the good folks at Good Looking & Moving Shadow Records. He began producting using Impulse Tracker, old tracking software of the scream tracker generation, and developed a knack for combining enveloping ambiance and catchy melodies with tight breaks and fat baselines. Ten years later, he's still at it; producing tracks with sweet sentimental synth riffs, classic and cutting edge bass techniques, and rolling drums. Always trying to make his productions better, Override knows the importance of maintaining an equilibrium of the acoustic elements in drum n bass. It's all about maintaining the melody and feeling of a track balanced with pumping beats and addictive basslines. Not too hard & not too soft, allowing Override's tracks to be appreciated by music lovers everywhere.
Override has completed 3 albums exploring a variety of electronic music and has has worked with other artists in recording and production capacities; mastering tracks for members of Indajunglerecordings.com, composing and producing hip-hop projects for many Ottawa locals, and performing sound editing and scoring compositions for movies by FunkNuggetProductions.
Override is currently working with artists in Montreal on trip-hop, RnB, hip-hop and electronic projects. Be on the lookout for a new 8 track release of Override's unique perspective on drum n bass comming out on Indajunglerecordings for summer 2008.
